HIPpO UN
The piece was inspired in the African tale “The legend of Mali Sadio” in which a girl (Sadio) falls in love with a Hippo (Mali) who offered protection. The piece is a representation of the spiritual hippo who came down enlightened to help all sentient beings in the village; we can see the African continent in the Hippos tummy and the country “Mali” can also be interpretated as the heart of the piece.
